What style piston and injector size are you guys running? Are you sticking with stock, CR or what?

Yes 98.5-02. I'm wondering what some of the different piston and injector combos have been. Also, what are some of the compression ratios ran while using a vp-44? I am just curious.

I've been curious on 04.5-07 CR pistons in the ISB. Mainly for the Ppumps, but it wouldn't be a bad choice on the VP44's either in my opinion.

Haven't tried it here so, I don't have a solid compression ratio for you. I'm figuring around 17 in my head, but simply ccing would answer that.

I've heard my buddies edge jammers have a rough idle after a while, it was more noticeable after a VP failure but that's obvious. stock pistons probably work fine if you don't get too crazy lol.

To late to edit.

Well maybe the op should explain how crazy he wants his truck to be. LOL I don't know all of the particulars but shouldn't someone look into ceramic coated pistons depending on how much power they are pushing and/or how hot it'll be getting. Now I'm sure as hell not an expert and this info is mostly from observation.

Late 5.9L CR 45.3cc's 76mm bowl.

Early 5.9L CR 44.6cc's 56mm bowl.

5.9L VP SO 48.0cc's 61mm bowl.

5.9L VP HO 45.5cc's 59mm bowl.

Thanks for the info on the piston cc's. The combo is going to be for a high compression vp-44 powered 24v with a 6.7 crank. The goal will be super high efficiency and low rpm power.
