What size are the II towing twins?

I want to get some info on the II towing twins. I'm running them w a Hotrod44 and super dragon flow sticks and Tubes. It's running out of air in the mid range and I'm thinking about going to a larger atmosphere turbo.

Any body have specs on the turbos and what size the exhaust flanges are? I think they are T4, but not sure. I'm pretty sure the small turbo is an S300- probably a 62mm ind, and the large turbo is
a K31-probably a 71mm ind. I'm thinking about replacing the large turbo w an S475.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sean

I don't know much about the twins other than the small one is either a 62/65/12 or a /14 (your choice I beleive) and the bottom is a K31. I have the 62/65/14 as a single and it mounts to everything stock and a HX-40 style down pipe. Maybe that helps you maybe not. $.02 Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'd love to slap the K31 under mine!

I would like to have a small set of twins, like the 57/65/70 over the 66/74/90 or so. Just too cheap!

The k31 is a great primary for towing, but is limited to the 500-550 hp range. The small turbine s400 with a 74 or 75mm comp wheel and a 1.1 tur. hsg is a great step up without lag issues. Is should bolt right in except you will have to move your down pipe forward about an inch and a quarter due to the ex housing being shorter on the flange end.

500HP would be plenty for my setup. I just use it for a tow rig.

that's what I'm talkin' about... my pig is getting a 57/65-.80 on top of a GTA42 -1.18 (gated)

as Ron stated, an S400 will drop right in, but you'll need to scooch your downpipe forward to make up for the non-gated turbine housing

That's wat I was thinking. An S475 extended tip. So the K31 has a T4 flange?

The 475 should make a noticeable difference I'd imagine.

What cam would work well w that combo?

I'm controlling fuel w a smarty and redline box.

Can I get away w/o a gated housing? The gate on the 31 is shut now. I don't have a boost gauge between stages, but 30psi should be enough for the big charger-right?

If it's the full sized K31 from the Detroit Diesel, it has a T6 wastegated 1.28 housing(I think it's 1.28, might be 1.24, been a while).

A T6 would be easier to find than a T4 anyway. Do you think a 1.15 housing would be to tight on a 475?

Any ideas on a cam?

hmm, i want to get away from my 1.32 ar 475. sure would like to try a 1.10. the 1.32 is a little slow to spool. granted i only have 500 hp.

getting rid of the 1.32 regardless.goal is 700 hp and that 1.10 should give me a little better spool up and support that fuel.

So what about a cam?

Also, any ideas about the super dragon flow sticks?
I know the tips are 11 hole, but not sure about the CCs or much else.
