hey guys, im looking at buying at 1998 24v, what should i be looking for? i already know its got the mexican block in it, its got 217XXX miles, its completely stock, even has the muffler still, its a 5spd extended cab short bed 4x4, if anyone could give me a little info that would be great im new to 24v on and he just replaced the lift pump, thanks!!

ernt. i say this because it just happend to my 98.5 24v, it was in issue all the way up midway through 99.

yea we fixed that on our old 12v, jedimindtricks what kind of wheel and tire set up u got on your truck in your pic? it looks sweet

best advice: Look for a 12 valve! Lol

On a serious note, If available use a remote fuel pressure guage, to check the pressure while driving. Look for any "hack type wiring." Really watch for a 53 block. Check for water/fuel in oil. And check for oil in the water.

I never liked VP trucks, but a set of injectors and a box, and they come alive!
