can i get away with a 35psi gauge for my primary?

i have a 60 and i think its a little big.

i have a 100psi for total boost, its hard for me to accurately read peak boost on such a high psi gauge. what i'd really like is a 80psi, but i dont see any.

im trying to get my twins tuned in and not seeing the peak #'s properly makes it hard.

thanks

I can swing mine to 50 psi with either a s480, s475 or a gt42. Doesnt matter witch one i use. Thats with running a overall of 80 psi.

Is that cause you have a 64 on top or cause you have a lot more fuel.

Which charger do you like best, for the street, if it sees it.
Thanks for the reply.

Isspro makes an 80. I have one on my truck for total boost.

I like the gt4202 for the street. Lights very quick and tows beutifull. I have a modest size pump. Flows ok for a daily driver. I has more than i can use towing. I tow in valet with 55 psi on tap all the time. I can say its almost smoke free.

Do you think it is possible to get more than 35psi out it, with a vp and the fuel I have?

I'm only seeing a little over 20psi at the moment.

With the fuel you have you should be about 62-65 total boost, and about 30-32 on the S475. Depending on the S475, you would be out of it's peak efficiency by about 34psi. A 35psi gauge should be fine.

Thanks paulb!

i guess i could use my 60 for total then and get rid of my cheap oil psi gauge.
