What's everyone choice of starting batteries ?

Battery group sizes are for physical dimension standards only. They have nothing to do with output or type of battery. NO rhyme or reason to it anyway as far as numerations go. Group 27 battery is bigger than a 65.

Yes I know the numbering is off. However. I will take surface area of the plates over a smaller battery any day.
 
For apples to apples, I agree. But an Optima uses group #'s just for sizing, as it's output is often higher than lead acid batteries many times larger. AGM are inherently more compact.
 
I keep looking at those Braile batteries. Would be very convenient to mount 2 of them along the frame rail. Well until I change the frame in the dually.
 
Broke down and bought Canadian Tire Eliminator batteries. 880 cca , 1065 ca and a 3 year full replacement warranty.
