Got a friend of a friend that wants me to haul his 1066 for him. Not a light load but not super heavy. I have the stuff to do it, but am unsure what the rate is for towing with a truck and gooseneck.

Its a friends friend so no deal cutting here, diesel ain't cheap!

Thanks guys

In IL, lowboy rates from $100-120/hr.

Flatbed gooseneck maybe $80-90

Mileage 1.90-2.50 a mile round trip

Just throwing numbers out.

thank you sir

2.50 a mile was what I was thinking, didn't know where that was at in the scheme of things

I vote for 2.50+ I charge 2.50 to my own customers to go get there stuff that I'm going to work on...... In reality, I'm charging them to get stuff to me that I charge them to fix! If I was just gonna haul it around for em, I'd definitely charge at least $2.50/mile loaded.

When i do something on the side for someone with my gooseneck i figure on $80 an hr cash and $90 an hr if they wanna write me a check. Just moved 3 pallets of travertine tile for a customer that buys stone off our family and they paid me $325 to pick up and drop off. Was about 4 hrs round trip. Had bout 70-80 wrapped up into fuel and tolls.
