Well i have been looking around at Welcome to Real Racing Wheels for the rear wheels for my new truck once i find out the backspacing i can run to get them in tight. Then i was thinking about the front wheels. I was goin to use a mickey thompson 16x12 4.5 backspacing up front. But i think im just gonna get the front wheels from here also. Has anyone messed with running wheels with less than 4.5inch backspacing like say 2inch back spacing to get the front tires further out. What would be the pros and cons of doing this? The plan is to run a 36/14.5/16 truxus sts.

Thanks Kyle.

lotta strain on the front end parts... not necessarily sure if that'd cause more breakage but wouldn't be surprised if it did.

Unless you are hung up on lighter weight aluminum wheels from Real Wheels, you can steel wheels Marsh Racing Wheels (MRW) with about any backspace you want and they are MUCH cheaper than the Real Wheels for obvious reasons. If you are gonna hang 'em way out there though, the extra weight of the steel wheels won't be any easier on the front end.

I was curious how it would affect the front drivetrain with that small back spacing. Also curious if the truck would hook even better not that the truck already hooks very well. I also just realized Real is located in iowa only 2-2.5 hrs from me.
