Wheel Question

This past weekend my cousin with a 98 12v 4x4 5 spd installed some 3rd gen rims I had laying around. They are just the steel chrome clad ones off a 04 CR. All went good till we tried to put the rear hub cap on. The hub sticks out to far and the hub cap wont fit on... Has anyone else had this kinda problem? Only thing I can think is the D80 is wider than the D70. Anyone else had this problem?

Never heard of that I have a few friends that are running the same wheels on 12V trucks and did not have any problems

I have a friend that did the same thing on a 97 and his center caps won't go on all the way either. His truck has a D70 in it.

3rd gen wheels and center caps fit just fine on my 99 with a D70...

HMMM, I wonder if its a difference in the caps???

Talked to him today and he said he got them to fit with some slight grinding.
