where to get catalatic convertor?

where can i find a factory cat? i want to take mine off but all the dealers around here are dicks when it comes to dodges (modded the hell out of my 6.0 and no probs with ford dealer) so i want a factory cat to put in place of my straight when returned for service.

Perhaps a salvage yard?

Supposedly used converters are worth $$ because of the material in them, but that might be a load of bull too...:confused:
 
My neighbor claimed he could get around $150 out of the cat from my truck...

He recently turned in 21 cats from cars and netted $1400. So they are worth $$$.

I would try posting wanted adds around...people taking them off might part with one cheap...even give it away.

I have one in my backyard i think. Shiping plus 10 bucks and its yours.
 
i have had no luck what-so-ever. i have called every muffler shop and they say they trash them all. called all my dodge buddies, they all trashed theirs.

a new one is right under 600 bucks.
