Well, This is my last issue and it will be done (Finally) the CLUTCH! I am going to go southbend DD but I have a few ?. What is this sprung hub you all talk about? Also I wanted to buy the 4200 12 CB but this is daily driver, so I was told to settle for the 3850 12 CB instead. I just want overkill per say, to ensure I dont spend this money and get a clutch I dont like, even though they are all nice. Just toss me some thoughts of what you guys running these clutches think I should do. P.S. I should be in the 550-600HP range and the sled and this clutch will be close friends :hehe:!
Thanks,
Brandon

3850 for a moderate (500-600hp) truck is good. 4200 is always good insurance though.

Is 4200 good for everyday driving? I was told that the plate load is so heavy everyday driving could wear the piviot points in the plate out? I could see this happening but ?????????????

I have the 3850 and love it, Works fine for the street and holds my 600hp to the ground very well.

Quit giving me mixed opinons darn it LOL. JW3 you get that mainshaft taken care of????????

I am running the 3850 12CB, but not for daily driving. I would get the 4200, I wish I did for that above reason of good insurance cuz your always gonna want more power later in life, so get a clutch that can handle it.

I've got a 3850 CB as well, and it works well as DD.

I've driven and been around trucks with SBC's new sprung hub, and they are QUIET!!!

and it bufferes a lot of the grabbiness too...

Good choice, I am NOT a fan of using sprung hubs in a sled pulling application, or any application for that matter..........LOL
