Have an '01 2500 auto 4x4. Only has BHAF and 5" exhaust. Would like to get a complete fuel system and sump. I do a fair amount of driving off road and am worried about the sump hanging off the bottom of the fuel tank. So insight from people that drive off highway and have a sump would be appreciated. No I don't rock crawl, just need to get to my fly fishing spots.
Which way to go, FASS, Airdog, or put one together?
I will also add trans temp, EGT, boost, and fuel pressure gauges soon. Just want to add the fuel pump now to stave off ruining my VP44.
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

If you want the extra filtration get the FASS. If not go with the Raptor. I have the Raptor and it works great. May want to look at getting a draw straw as well to make it easier to install.

Air dog kit comes with everything you need, draw straw and everything

if your worried about a sump dont use one

the new draw straws and module mods eliminate the 1/4 tank symptoms

Kind of what I was thinking, just thought someone may have had some experience with them off road. Maybe someone would have been able to tell me how durable they are.

The tanks are pretty thick and those sumps are solid with 8 bolts, plus if somethin comes up that high to take out a sump its bustin the tank anyways.....

But hey if I was using one offroad it wouldn't be hard to make a skid plate

I also thought about the skid plate but I would have to have someone make and it would also have to be able to be taken off easily if I need to get to the sump. I think I am going with the Hellman sump, now to decide on a fuel system.

Ordered a Hellman sump through the Diesel Innovations group buy:rockwoot:

Ordered the Airdog 150 through Cummins Performance Parts 10% Labor day sale!

Running the airdog 100 and never drop below 15psi. I like the unit alot but would like the Airdog II for its adjustability.
