Which rotors / pads?

Just about that time.

I'm going to upgrade to the third gen pads / rotors, but I'm curious what rotors and pads you guys like.. And where to get them.

I was looking at the power slots, but the initial price I found was about $215 PER ROTOR.. Ouch.

Anyone have a good source for brake parts? Will be needing both pads and rotors. Thanks in advance!
 
I have heard people are happy with EGR rotors and EGR yellowstuf pads
 
I run HAWK pads on all my vehicles and have for years. IMO, some of the best out there.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the stock rotors.
 
Do you already have 17" rims? You'll need them to run the lager 3rd gen brakes.

Yup. They are aftermarket, so I hope they clear... Might be a little pissed if they don't.

I'll check into the EGR stuff. Is is about as expensive as the powerslot? In all honesty, I'm probably okay running a standard oem style 3rd gen rotor.. I just don't want some foreign hunk of junk knock off rotor.
 
Just installed EBC slotted/ dimpled rotors and Yellow Stuff pads today, when it quits snowing I can let you know how they work out.
 
ebc rotors and yellow pads are champs out of the box... would recommend 100% of the time... i installed on my bosses truck, he tows with them too... incredible.. even with the abs still on the truck it will chirp the 35's on dry concrete stopping!:evil
 
The power slots for my truck were $100/rotor. That was several years ago.
 
I run power slots and raybesto emergency veichle pads. The stop way better than eanything I have tried.
 
I've considered the EBC slotted and dimpled rotors. For 4x4 I think they are only $189 for the pair if I read the ads correctly. I'd check them out myself given the posative reviews i've read.
 
EBC and Powerslot both seem to get high reviews...

I think I would run either depending on the price. Tyler, do you remember where you picked your's up from? If that's the correct price, I'd get a set today...

Anyone else have a good source for purchasing stuff like this? Any venders on the site offer them?
 
SSBC has a kit to run 3rd gen rotors.. But states you need 18" wheels for their kit....
 
EBC Rotors and Yellow pads! I got at least 40K them and last month when I had a 15K trailer behind me and the brakes quit the EBC's stopped me and never complained, for 200 miles.
