Need some help guys. A friend of mine called and was having problems after he installed injectors. He swaped them in and he said it was popping and blowing alot of white smoke. He put the stock ones back in and said it does the same thing. I went down and pulled them out and installed the new ones back in (DDP 180hp) started it up, ran like it usely does after injector install. At idle it blows a little white/blue smoke out. I took it for a drive and it blows alot of white smoke out. It runs pretty good, but blows white smoke every where. What could be wrong? Its a 01' or 02'

Update, they are 110hp injectors. he called me back and said it has gotten better. If you get on it hard it blows white smoke, if you ease into it, it blows some black smoke. I forgot to mention earlier that at first, it had some fuel coming out the exhaust. Somehow, its overfueling. Anyother ideas.

if it was on 1 set of injectors then i would say have the injectors pop tested...but you said it is doing the same on 2 different sets.....that to me sounds like a timing issue

I'd say injection pump timing as well. Thats why when a VP is crapping out you get white smoke at start-up. The timing advance isn't functioning properly.
