Ok just did a pump swap and put in a new cam 188/220 hamilton.
When im in park and at idle, when i stab the accelerator pedal real fast, it pours out white smoke. But when i roll into the accelerator it acts fine. Whats up

My truck has always done that. My solution; don't floor the truck when its not in gear.

White smoke and 20psi in park makes it sound like the timing is too low. Did you use the correct timing chart for the new pump and not the one for your engines C.P.L.? Do you have the part number off the side of the pump?

Thats normal if the engine is cold. There is no spark or ignition source in these engines, its just heat and pressure. If you don't have heat... you can't burn all the fuel you put into the engine (especially when you are blipping the throttle). What size injectors are you running? It sounds pretty normal to me, if it were sputtering and smoking when you slowly raise the rpms, I would say its sucking air in the fuel lines but I think you are just a tad rich and a tad cold. You definitely need to bump your timing. Good luck

There are a few potential causes. Timing, low fuel pressure which in effect causes retarded timing, major boost leaks, cold temperature which can act like retarded timing.

11 degrees, that is the problem. before you go right to 21 try 17 or 18. If you put it at 18 and it still does it, then you either have a low fuel pressure issue, too much pre-boost fuel, injector issues or a combination of the above listed.

Good luck.
