01 started white smoking then died. changed fuel filter now wont crank. what is yalls opinion on whats wrong? im thinking lift pump.

you mean it won't crank as in you can hear the starter try but it doesn't?

yeah its got to be fuel related it spins over fine.

can you hear the lift pump running? if you just bump the starter you should hear it run for a lil while if you dont hear anything then the lift pump is definitely dead.

when my lift pump went out it would run but would not pump fuel.

true so that being said take your lift pump off and take the top off of it and see if the shaft that spins the vanes is broke. on alot of the lift pumps the shaft is plastic and can break and pump will run but not pump anything. or you can do it the easy way and put a fuel pressure gauge on it.

put a new fuel pump on tonite and still dont have any igniting. so what should i do? the guy has a edge ez with and hypertech programmer on his truck. dont ask me why he has those 2 on there. it wasn't my advice. i think he just put the edge on there. and now he has this problem.
