Who's running a Duraflite transmission?

Any negatives to putting a duraflite in my truck? How easy are they to tune? thanks

negatives none.the tuning software is very slick and shouldnt take long to get close and then it can be fine tuned on the track..,
 
Are you looking to daily drive the truck with the duraflite?
 
when driven in a daily setup mode the tranny shifts perfectly and shift points can be tweaked for maximum fuel economy.also if the need arises just smack to go pedal....
 
I dont see any reason why you wouldnt be able to daily drive it though I think you might be one of the firsts to do so, but I can think of one that wont be to far behind in putting a duraflite under it
 
What exactly is it that holds up better with the duraflite? Is it the shafts and hubs or is it the clutches and steels or do both hold up better??

Anyone care to share why it holds up better? Not looking for science answers or secrets or smart ass answers. Just a simple explanation will do.

Which Dodge tranny is it? 48re? Is the controller the PCS???


How does the transfer case bolt up to it? I take it there is a special adapter???

Basically its because the trans is an overrunning style automatic. You can slam each gear right on top of one another and there is no possibility for a tie up like there is with the clutch-to-clutch allison.

like stated above. It is actually a old trq flite trans off the 92-94 dodges iircc. It has a bellhousing and trans adaptors all made by suncoast that allows it to bolt right up to dmax. It is controlled by a stand alone brain box.
