Why does my truck keep popping these codes?

I'm not quite sure why it's doing that but every time I pull codes P0500-No vehicle speed sensor signal keeps popping up. I don't have any lights on my dash and the tach and speedo and everything work great.

Also, P0622-generator field not switching properly keeps popping up. Even when I clear the codes, if I go right back in and read them with the smarty it's back. And the truck hasn't even been turned on.

Any ideas yall?

the p0622 i think is caused by the regulator on dodges the regulator is in the pcm not in the alternator i get those codes all the time i just keep driving it you can put on an external regulator i forget what ll you need i went to the local auto electric store and they told me what i needed to fix it and how to do it

I ain't worried to much about the 0622 code but more the 0500 code.

I've gotten the 0500 a few times. Never worried, till you did.
Get it figured out for me, too.

if ur speed sensors are seeding different speeds (liek a burnout or a psiibly a sled pull) it will throw that code, also look at your wheel spped sensors and make shure ur wires are good still thay could be cut. one of mine was cut in half from rubbin with the wheel, the pcm sees the other speed sensors and ignores the incorrectly reading one.

Isn't the 0622 the Smarty Code...like wrong ECM parameters?

I've seen the 0500 on lots of trucks...forget about it!

I ain't really worried about it. Just wondering why it keeps popping up. I know going around corners at intersections I can hear a tire scratch a little even on dry ground at light throttle.

I never saw any codes until I wired my lockup switch... After the lockup switch and the BD RAD then I almost always have some code.

I actually don't have the 0602 code. I've got 1765 which is from my lock up switch, 0500, 0622, and 1693.

Blue your truck hates you. Thats really the only explanation at this point.

Well unfortunately for it I'm more stubborn than she is. She will do 500hp even if it kills me.

Look at it like this Blue, you went to the bottom & the last dyno showed you that you are on your way back up.:rockwoot: I check youtube everyday looking for a video of you beating that truck up. I would have run it over with my bulldozer by now. *bdh* You'll get it fixed I'm sure & I hope that you break 600hp.

Could it be something in the TrueSpeed that is causing the code? I'm guessing you still have it.

Tyler... wash her more often. Shine her up a little. Call her pretty things. Tell her she's beautiful.

Afer that...? She'll probably still pop codes, but she'll look cute while doin it LMAO!

And that Grover blue head kills me. I can't look at it without laughing.

Hey look...Blue finally got 500 in his truck...

DOH...sorry blue, couldn't help it

Why do I need enemies with friends like yall? LOL

Truck is gonna get shined, polished, the under carriage painted, everything polished next week when I'm off.

displacedtexan, I never had a true speed. I had my ECM reprogrammed by the dealer a long time ago.

Mine did the 0500 code and i got really pissed. I finally went down to the parts store and bought on. When out to the parking lot and was going to put it in and guess what my front driveshaft had rubbed on the wires and shorted them out. Made me feel like a dumn a**
