Not trying to start a fight, but has anyone installed a 6.7 short (or long) block into a 5.9 truck, with 5.9 injectors and had it smogged?
Did it pass a smog/emissions test with the 5.9 ECM and injectors in it?

Intuition says that it should, so long as you didn't mention it was a 6.7 to the test operator.
Any first-hand experiences?

Mark.

As long as the long block is the same or newer model year than the body you are generally OK. I wouldn't mention it unless it comes up though.

This has me worried if time comes I have to smog my half ton. lol

I dont think they would ever know. I dont see it being an issue at all but I have no first hand experience.

I haven't had an issue with a 5.9 where a 7.3 is supposed to be. They don't even say anything.

If it doesn't smoke no one will know, they check emissions for diesels by i think it is called a photo opacity eye cell that is looking for smoke from improper tunes or other issues causing smoke.
