my 2000 five speed has an SO that just went out and found an HO that is pry dang cheap wondering fit it will work on it or if i have to find another SO..... i know the so pumps are better than an ho but just tryin to find a quick cheap replacement.. not big plans wit hthis truck.....yet

SO pumps are better. Seems to make more power. If it's cheap then go for it as a replacement but if you want better power find another SO.

Yes, an HO pump will work. The HO fuels harder down low, has a bit more timing to it, tougher electronics and smaller barrels internally (7mm for the HO, 7.5 for the SO). All this means is that on the top end an SO will make higher HP numbers than the HO is physically capable off due to volume of fuel moved. You will notice a seat of the pants improvement due to the harder fueling down low.

X2... also, you may have a rougher idle/cruise surging when running an HO pump on an SO mill.

Slight, but recognizable... vaguely similiar to dropping a couple points in C/R.
