Will duramax brakes fit on a 3rd gen?

Trying to fit some 16 inch wheels on my 3rd gen and instead of forking out all the money for the Real Wheels setup was wondering if you could just throw a set of Duramax brakes onto my 3rd gen to fit the 16's. Anybody done this? Haven't had much help in the search bar.

The rears are basically the same axle. Never looked into it to say it would work for sure though.

Yes, correct. Brakes from a Duramax AAM and swap them onto a Cummins AAM. Thought about grinding but would just prefer not to go that route

I installed 2nd gen brakes on my 05 third gen 4X4. Now I can run 16" alum rims with slicks. This was for the front and rear no grinding needed all bolt on.

I used second gen rotors, calipers, caliper mounting brackets and the brake pads for a 2002 3/4 ton.
