window switch

this is kind of a dumb question but is there any trick to getting the door panels off? my window switch quit and i need to get a new on cause it stuck down on me. any tips and has this happened to any one else. the only way it will work is if i slam the door and then it will work. or could it be the window motor?

Get a panel fastener tool- or you will break those pesky little plastic fasteners.... start at the bottom corner and work your way around to the top.....

Panel fastener tool and get some spares ones to replace cause they will break. Dont forget the door handle. Sounds like the switch. It may just be partly unplugged. i got my switch at the local napa for like $30.

you don't have to pull the panel off if it's just the switch. Just pop the the switch panel out of the door and replace. If it's the motor then yea, you'll need to pull the whole panel.

Make a fist and moderately knock on the black switch body while holding the button in the "roll up" position. It should function after a few knocks. This is how I've been running mine for a year or so.

what is a pannel fastener? and to get the switch panel off does it just pop off?
