Every since I have owned my truck the wipers have only worked on high or low. This morning (in a rainstorm no less) it is barely working on high. So which piece is it? How big of a pain is it to change the wiper motor?

wiper motor is kinda of a pain...its hard to get the arms off of it. then you pull the plastic cowl cover, then the motor will come out with the arms etc all attached. swap the motor and replace the stuff back in there.

i had mine go bad on me once, i went fishing with my boss and pulled his boat for him...we were almost home when a nasty storm hit, turned the wipers on and nothing. then i got them to work intermittently, finally a new motor fixed it.

I havent checked the fuse yet. So that will be the first thing I do. Another project. YAY! LOL

easy job....just pull the cowl and wiper arms, 3 bolts and 2-3 plugs to pull
and it's done.

my guess is 20 min. for the Re & Re

Scott

It's straightforward and easy. Just kinda annoying. Hardest part is pulling the arms off.

So how do the wiper arms come off? what about the windshield squiters, the look to be connected to that black cowl piece? I am tackling this job tommorow and want to be prepared.

Replaced the Wiper motor but still no delay/intermettient but I have high and low like before. Thoughts on the no delay?
