So now that the fun has worn off I don't think I'm getting as much power from my tapped comp as I should be. I was BSing with my uncle with the same truck and his would smoke real good and get to about 1400* (EGTs) thus meaning lots of fuel. With mine I don't get much smoke at all and I have yet to hit 1200*.... I tested the tap and it's like 0.30 volts lower than the batteries. Tried 2 taps and same thing. Not sure what to do or if I'm just used to it now? Thinking about getting a stealth plate and taping up that wire real well just to be safe... Thoughts?
Oh, I unplugged the tap and my EGTs were about 100-200* lower and boost only hit about 28psi (compared to my tapped 32psi)... Same smoke this maybe a little less MAYBE.
