I was wondering how the prefered, and the most reliable way to wire a Holley Blue Pump on an 02, I will be using it in place of the factory charge pump.

Mount it as close to the fuel tank as possible on the inner frame rail. It will work best as a pusher pump & last longer. Just cut your fuel line & hook a hose from the line to the holley, then rubber from the outlet to the fuel filter canister. For power, use a 30amp relay mounted on the firewall. It will have 4 prongs on it.

1. battery power....battery 12v
2. ground....goes to firewall ground.
3. Accessory....to Holley red [power] wire
4. switch....this one will hook into the stock lift pump power supply 12v. Usually a red wire.

Then ground the Holley pump [black] wire to your battery negative.

The switch is the power wire off the pump. When the relay sees power from the lift pump wire harness it switches to the power coming of the battery.

What he said. It'll work perfect.

Another note. Take out the bypass plunger and sand it and the barrel smooth with some emory cloth. It's located behind the big flat head screw on the motor case. Be careful cause there is a spring that will launch out. Also take note on which way the plunger comes out. Sand the plunger smooth and until all of the paint is worn off and then wrap the emory cloth around a pencil and run it up and down the bore it rides in. That'll really help the pressure stay more stable.
