wiring gauges

wiring gauges into my brothers 04 dmax and just curious as to where you all wired the boost and egt gauge at? did you go to the fuse box at the drivers side door or under the hood somewhere? trying to keep it a clean look and not hack up his wires just splicing in somewhere.

I used some fuse taps from the auto parts store that have a wire coming from them and contain 2 fuses. 1 for the accessory and one for the original fuse that the tap took the place of. It makes for a super clean install in the drivers fuse panel.

on the boost gauge did you tap into the line going from the manifold to the wastegate or tap the manifold with a fitting?

manifold...if you take this approach be sure to be cautious of shaving from drill/tap

ok i just noticed that short hose from the manifold to the waste gate didnt know if it was safe to splice into that or if i would get a better reading from the manifold.

You must be working on an early o4. I used a superdiesel intake that had plugs for this
