Ok, just swapt out the auto in my brothers 98 for a 5spd now it won't start. Does the computer need to b changed to 1 out of a manual truck or what else am i missing?

Neutral safety switch, I think there is a with on the harness that goes down to the trans that has to be grounded. If you do a search I know there is a thread out there that explains it better. Sorry can't help much from my phone.

X2, on an auto the switch is located on the drivers side above the trans pan. The switch also controls your reverse lights

With your truck in park and the key on you can use a piece of wire or paper clip to make the ground in your connection.

IIRC it is a three hole connection, ground from center to outside and if you have backup lights and no start then ground from center to opposite side and try again

Yea I forget if its one ground and two hots or visa versa just make sure your in neutral before you try to start haha

Ok, all i could find was a plug with 7 wires and a plug with two wires... tried grounding several of them, still won't crank. Any ideas which one it is?

Im 100% sure my 47re NSS was a 3 wire plug, im pretty sure my rh is the same way

only find one wire with power, guess i'll ground it and c what happens???... i hear some clicking goin on in fuse box under hood when i ground it.

Ok, got it on the road but no cruise control.. what needs hooked up? Light on dash indicates cruise is on but u can't set it.
