hey...just tried to start my 2000 dodge for the first time and at first the truck wouldn't even attempt to turn over... it acted like a ground but i found out it was the safety switch for the clutch..... i dont have a lot of pedal tension and i just put the south bend upgraded hyd in it... i heard it should be above the brake pedal in hieght and its not.... so i wired a jumper wire on it so it would crank over but then found out that my fass was not coming on when i turned on the key anyways...... so i jumper wired it to run full time for test purposes.... i had fuel to the pump then... and the motor would turn over but it never put fuel thru the lines to the injectors... i had one cracked.... do i have somethin seriously wrong electronically...... crank sensor? any help would be very much apprecaited...... i have most everything grounded im pretty sure.....

where do you live man, maybe someone can give you a hand, or atleast bring a can of gas and some matches LOL

Take a breath man LOL

What all did you do? New lift pump? Sounds like you might have air in the lines.

haha i live around london ohio......truck was a basket case when i bought it........ those matches are lookin better all the time man haha i have put a fass and vp pump on the truck i think it has to be somethin electrical nothin wants to come on i have lights and everything but when it was cranking over i had no oil pressure or nothing and some where along the lines im loosing juice thats why i used the jumper wirers.... i dont think i have air in the lines i had straight fuel coming from the fitting from the fass to the pump just no fuel up at the head like the pump itself wasnt working do to electronics but i dont know

The pump will still pump fuel regardless if there is an electrical problem. I still think you have air to deal with. If you can get the engine to continue to crank for long enough, crack #3, #4, and #5 lines until you have fuel coming out. It should act like it wants to fire when you get fuel out of those lines.

Sounds like you have some electrical gremlins. Are the fuse and relay in the harness good?

yea the fass system is connected to the stock fuel system plug coming from the ecm.... il try to crack all the lines u said and c wat happens.... i had fuel to the pump... any idea why the fass wont come on with the key? not a good ground? i checked the relays they all seemed to be good i switched them and nothing changed

Turn the keyswitch just enough to "bump" the starter then quickly release to get The Free 25 Second Lift Pump Run.

1693 means DTC Detected In ECM Or PCM, your probably going to want to get it on a real scanner to see whats going on with it

has anyone got that code an had to replace the crank sensor or cam sensor?

Yes I've gotten the code. But that was when my cam sensor was on its way out. Ummm did you make sure that the vp44 harness is secure? I forgot to plug mine in and it wouldn't start.LOL

1693 is a companion code. All it means is you need to get a scanner on it and get all the codes.

yea the vp is plugged in..... i bought a crank sensor so il try that and c wat i got.... and if not il just go down the line of parts haha or set it uh flame haha which ever comes first

i kan tel u hw to ficks yur trk but i do not tipe or spel good so u mite knot undrstd wat im tring to say.
