For anyone who pulls work stock, about what kind of RPM are you seeing and what gear ratio and gear are you running? Im mainly talking auto trucks, but sticks are fine too.

I know the duramax's usually run 3rd, but what kind of RPM? I would guess 3000-3400rpm or so.

That is basically the same gear as my truck in 2nd gear in 4 low. Kind of wondering what kind of RPM ill need to be able to run and be competitive.

my duramax in third low just about tagged 4100 at the corydon pull last year and thats with 245 tires
 
I only had 2 hooks in this class both I ran 3rd low range one @ 3k and one @ 4k. went down the track arround 20 - 25 mph which is way to slow, really wish I had tried 2 hi should have been round 35 mph @ 4k. that would be my .02
 
When I was pulling WS in 2006 I was running 4th gear(1.31) in with my ZF6 in low range with 3.73s. That works out to a 13.29 final. Down track I was spinning around 3800rpm. Allison trucks spin a little more beacuse thrid gear is 1.41. Which works out to 14.3 final.
 
I think the allison trucks are happy in the high 3000 range. I hit 4200 at SDX in 07 but I was #2 hook after 5 hour rain delay.
