I know you've all heard irritating and aweful "belt squeaking" noise and that's about all i can describe it as. After being pi#@ed off about stupid people and girlfriend troubles, i decided to go for a drive during lunch. My poor 3/4 ton just got the **** beat outta it. But right after throttling up and shortly after the boost drops from its peak, i hear that noise. A couple weeks ago, my edge started chirping at me saying pre-VP low fuel pressure(it was around 3-4psi). Now, as much as i hate to ask the question, do you think it is the VP making noise or something else? It doesnt do it sitting still and throttling it, only under load.

With the way everything is goin right now, any help is appreciated.

Thanks guys.

rotor in the VP44 making noise is possible. It can seize and never throw a code FYI. Not saying that is it but it is possible.

its got 202k miles on it, i got it when it had 170k. i do know that these last 30k were hard on it. so i supposed it could be possible for the vp to be goin.

3-4 psi also could be normal if you were low on fuel and were hoggin on it...

Transmissions is out of my area... You could always call Dan Vallance he is almost always around the Valair phone...

True. it could have just been a coincedence that the noise went away at the same time that i pushed the clutch in too...

It was just that one time occurrence then it surely ain't the bearing... That's be constant... I think... Man idk lol. Back to the pressure loss...you said that it screeched at you at the same time you lost pressure, yes?

its just hard to tell what it is. you try to get close to the noise and all you hear is engine... not that i'm complaining any haha

Lmao go to oreilly and buy yourself an engine stephascope... It helps me find knocks and helped me find the squeak in my alternator..

i have heard something similar come the the head liffting upder boost check your fire wall for soot around #6

after lettin it sit and idle for aboue 20 minutes yesterday morning, i dont think its a boost problem. it was doing it the whole time on and off while it was idleing.

Was your AC or heat on? When my truck has anything to do with the blower happening it almost sounds like the AC clutch kicks on and off and on and off

dont think so. i'll check tomorrow on my way to work, but for some reason i was thinkin i turned all that off when i got in.

ha i do know that my blower motor is starting to make some funky noises when i turn it up on high. i turn it off then back on it its all good after that.
