Got my block back from the machine shop and this was in the box with some misc items.

Ive not seen it on my other engine anywhere. Block is a 96.

Where is the oil pressure sensor on a 96 located?

This thing has sat so long I dont remember squat.:bang

Oil pressure sender goes in the driver side oil galley. I believe it's the 3rd hole back.

That is exactly wat all my 12 valve engines had. A metal thingy, roughened so it don't slide out. Dipstick tube had to be heated to get it on or off. That particular metal parts had to be beat out the block. At least, that's exactly wat it looks like.

12V's and earlier 24V's have the metal nipple that goes in the block for the dipstick, then the dipstick tube slides over it and is secured to it with a constant tension style clamp. The newer 24v's and cr motors have the solid steel dipstick tube that is one piece and presses into the block.

If its a 96 block, it has atleast 1, probably 4 or 5 on the driverside. Gotta feed the p-pump some how.

See the line of allen socket head plugs about 1/2" below the lower tappet cover gasket? The front one has the p-pump oil feed line, the next is a plugged hole and the last visible has the STORM to 1/8npt adapter for the oil pressure sender.

I should have clarified, it has one for the pump feed line.

Does it being an IH block have anything to do with it?

Is it a 94-97 pre-STORM block? If it has only one oil turbo oil drain, then it is an older block. Still, the oil pressure sender should be roughly the same location.

It has 1 turbo drain.

Ill get Atchely to take a pic of it. I know the sensor isnt in the sam place as on my 01 block.

Did 01's have an oil temp sensor?
