I had to take the valve body out of the "built transmission" I bought, and change the wiring. Why would they only put 8 bolts back in instead of 10 to hold the valve body in place? Do I need to take the other 2 out of my stock one?

Hmm I've never dealt with them but I always heard good things. Either way I would give em a call, just dont be too mean:evil I'm sure the billet shaft are in there.

If they weren't.....I know where you could find those shafts when I was done with those guys....:kick:

They assured me they were in there. They did not even offer to replace the trans fluid or compensate for my time having to take the valve body out of both transmissions and change the electronics.

Thanks for the info...I know one company to cross off the list for when I'm ready to do my tranny next summer.

I got it back going Saturday morning everything was fine. Saturday-Wednesday no problem. I go out today to go to work start my truck and go back inside, 5-10 minutes later I come get in put it in reverse nothing. After playing with it for a little bit I decide to cut the truck off and try to start in while in gear. It does not start in R, D, 2, 1, and only starts in P and N like it should. I start it back up put it in reverse (you can feel it catch just a little) nothing. If I give it a lot of throttle (2500+rpm) it will start to move. Any idea's?

Dusty sent you a tranny on a pallet that is doing this or you did you have him install the trans?

mine did that when the rear bearing in the housing went out. and wasnt letn reverse work right.

Damn... that is odd. You talked with Dusty?

I have never talked Dusty. I always talk to Marianne. I called today at least 10 times every time it was busy. I emailed them a little bit ago though.

HTS should straighten this out. I have never heard of an instance that they have not.

Marianne emailed me earlier and said she will call me in the morning and get everything situated.

v/b bolts missing isn't rare in these transmissions because of how many people loosen the v/b bolts to get more fluid out during a service they often get over tighten and stripped out completely. They don't like to go much over 105 in/lbs. Trust me, I know.

They will act like that when they are low on fluid. Being it's far from a stocker I could see it being something else however.
