I've got a 1997 47RE with some good parts mated to a 241DHD. I'm considering doing a full swap for a stick. The truck is an extended cab long bed with a Dana 70.

Trans has:
Suncoast 44 series Triple Disc converter - DPC went through and restalled in September - it's about 1800rpm.
Garmon Valve body - it actually shifts correctly if you leave it in drive, towing or not.
Goerend Soft Parts - Just replaced in September
Billet Accumulator, achor, strut, lever and servo
Sonnax Billet One piece input shaft
Mag Hytech deep pan
Reinforced Flexplate
New Mopar sensors on the valvebody in September

Build was done by a Goerend vendor.

I had the 241DHD out summer before last and went through it, all in good shape. When the transfer case was out the rear driveshaft got new joints, carrier bearing and balanced. I also have a 241DLD that I could send with it as well.

I'm in OHIO

I have the manual trans version of your truck, and I'm looking to go auto. What do you have in mind?

My transmission was rebuilt a year ago with a complete overhaul kit. Also got a brand new 1 3/8" South Bend input shaft, and I went with a SBC 3250 Street dual disc (12 ceramic button discs, no dampners so it rattles). Transfer case (DHD) was also cracked open at the same time it only needed some small misc parts and was given a clean bill of health.

Only have about 7,000 miles on it since then just occasional driving, and been hooked to my 24' gooseneck 4 or 5 times.
