Okay so I swaped a srw 4:10 posi out for a drw 4:10 posi in the process of converting the truck to a dually. Well we broke a tap off in the yoke of the drw once we had it under the truck trying to clean rusted threads out. Went to beun it out with a torch and the yoke won. Still have the srw dana 80 in the driveway. Everything on it is fine. Picked up a new pinion seal.

What is the best way to go about this and get the backlash ect set back up right??

So you just need to replace the yoke? If your SRW was behind a auto transmission it is only a Dana 70 so you cant use its yoke. But a new Dana 80 yoke is only about $115 from Dodge and its easy to switch. Ask them what the torque spec is for the pinion nut, I want to say its like 500-550 lb ft? And if all your doin is switching out the yoke there is nothing to change with the backlash..

there is no backlash settings affected when swapping yokes between a d70 and d80
