well my suncoast let go.110000 miles.i think thats good. how many miles did you get on yours?

104k or so on my '97 with a Goerend Brothers tranny. Hauled it down to Dave's in Iowa and he fixed it right up.

what let go? the torque converter or were there problems internally? when my transmission first was built back in october, my clutches hardly slipped, my torque converter was the only thing slipping really, and first gear clutches were a little burnt, but otherwise my stock tranny did good up to 118k.

first gear went out.other than that, until i hear from a.t.d. i dont know what else is bad.hes going to open the converter and check it.and let me know.

My own personal rebuild has 30k on it and still running strong. So I'm sure anything aftermarket is tons better.

My first DTT tranny lasted about 1,000 miles...
Second DTT tranny lasted almost 10,000 miles...
Third DTT tranny lasted less than 5,000 miles...
Now I have a georend tranny that has 5k on it and I love it! feels much better than any of the DTT's ever did!

yup phily, maybe stronger but you built it yourself!

Yeah it also only my 2nd one too, I ran into problems along the way. I couldn't get the governor pressure figured out for a while, but with the low stall tc it still did alright lol. It's not really a great idea to rebuild your own when you don't have a shop to do it in. Never rebuild your trany in your apartment. I got lucky.

The truck was kind of stolen from me, so I kind of hope it fails now.:bang
