I was wondering if there is a power difference between the two different erverser setups. I am running a profab reverser with a scs gear box. I heard i could free up 60 hp with a zero drap reverser from scs instead of the profab. I cant see the reverse gear free reving would use 60 hp in the profab box. i could believe 5 to 7 hp loss with the reverse gear spinning.

Often wondered the same thing about what the difference between the two actually are on the inside. I also have a hard time believing that you could free up 60hp by going SCS if thats true.

Anyone know the weight differences between the Pro-Fab and SCS reverser and even the drop boxes?

Never has a scs but do have the pro fab. I don't see how there could be that much of a loss in the pro fab. If it has that much drag what does a stock tranny have? The profab id easy to turn when its out and in gear. I know it don't take 60hp to turn.

X2 what these other guys said i dont see 60 hp. I would guess there may be a little advantage but alot of the top trucks run profab so either are good but the profab is cheaper. I dont believe for the add expense of the SCS your going to see any noticable gain.

That hp came from SCS. They said that if you went with the zero drag reverser compaired to the other one. You would pick up 60 hp. I do not see it at all at least im on the same page as everyone else.
