Looking at putting a ford zf6 trans in my 98 12 valve cummins qc lb. Wondering if anyone has done this and if your happy with the outcome. And also where should I look for an adapter plate for the bell housing and clutch-petal hydraulics. And also if anyone has done it how did you run your cooling lines. Thanks to anyone that can help!

I know a local guy has adapted one to his common rail, should be the same hurdles. No idea what he did to get it there though. I'd be interested in knowing as well.

I've been thinkin about this also. you would just need to get the adapter plate from destroked for the zf6. but the problem im having is getting around the starter with my twins, and then the clutch hydros.

That's what I've got, but it's in a ford. Destroked makes the best adapter plate. For the hydraulics, I used the obs master and put the zf6 slave on the end of the line and it works fine. On a 2nd gen dodge, I would think you could use the dodge master with the ford slave, but I'm not too sure. Cooling lines should just be put into the cooler in the radiator if it has one.

The starter is not in the way of the twins.

My brother has the same setup as me, but in a newer ford and a 351cw/s475 for twins. The trannys will hold the power for sure.
