need some help, I installed a new Mishimoto intercooler to get my egt,s lower last spring , and since then my water temps run at 230 when towing hills. I tow a 40 foot toy hauler weight around 24,000
I replaced water pump , new thermostat oem ,new fan clutch , new radiator ,fan shroud is is great shape. and at the moment there is no ac condenser installed
I have compounds and afc live, turned my fuel down till I was only pushing 20 pounds of boost and egts was at 938 still ran hot, no coolant is pushing into the overflow bottle.
is it a possible head gasket ? you would think when im pushing 65 psi boost it would push coolant into the over flow but its not.
any one have any ideas ?
Also says a 2.6 smooth bore turbo is allowed. Sorry for the multiple replies it wouldn’t let me paste it all in one message.
Any provisions allowing air to the compressor wheel other than the inducer bore or MWE groove are prohibited The vehicle driver will be responsible for making the compressor wheel accessible for the tech personnel to make appropriate measurements. Inducer bore diameter will be measured using a plug or calipers. If the plug fits you will be moved to the appropriate class.
If two turbochargers are used, they must be in a compound configuration with only one atmosphere turbocharger. In no case can the high-pressure turbocharger be larger than the atmosphere turbo charger. The atmosphere turbocharger must fit the rules listed below: S-4, GT 42, HX 50, LLY, and turbo of this type is the largest turbo allowed. T-4 mounting flange is the largest allowed. Turbos must be a true 2.5 charger. No clipped wheels or step down covers. Billet compressor wheels are allowed. A single 0.200 inch MWE groove maximum allowed. Inducer bore must be non-removable. All air must go through the 2.5 inducer bore and the MWE groove. The wheel must protrude into the 2.5 bore 1/8 inch. Turbo will be checked with a 2.550 plug or internal calipers. The vehicle driver will be responsible for making the compressor wheel accessible on the atmosphere turbocharger for the tech personnel to make appropriate measurements. Inducer bore diameter will be measured using a plug or calipers.
2004 Ford F250 6.0 no oil psi on dash unless i touch the excelerator. i have replaced the high psi pump, ipr valve front cover, oil sender, icp sensor and low psi pump.
To be honest it was long time ago....., but if I remember correctly 8.3 had oil feed at front of the pump and it needs to be blocked . I cut the thread and insert the plug. For the new oil feed , same location as in. 5.9 , you just need to remove the plug and install the union, original oil feed line will fit
hey i saw on a old post you got a 8.3 pump to work on your 5,9 what did you do for oil feed or is there a post you can direct me to thanks!
2004 305/555 nv5600 truck. currently running dual stock pumps lbz over 5.9, fleece splitter , scheid drop in cam, .060 shaved off of stock pistons, 150% s&s motorsport nozzles, box s475/83-1.0. lastly HP Tuning by FIREPUNK. For years tried everything also ran it with an s06 TNTR smarty prior to HP. Way more drivable, and nothing ever pulled as hard up top as it does now. So impressed I got Firepunk tuning on my 2006 5.9 as well
