hey everyone, i was looking through diesel power magazine the other day and saw something about their old cummins rust bucket truck, they rebuilt the trans( the old 727) and used a 1600rpm stall converter. they picked up 124 ft lbs and gained 2-3 mpg highway.
i know tci sells a torque converter for the 6.9/c6 p/n 443631, 7.3/c6 p/n443632.
the page dosnt really give any information, what do you guys think, or does anyone know of something else i should focus on.
ive got an 84 f250, 2wd with the 6.9/c6. this spring im gonna do alot of work to it. rebuilt heads, head studs. turbo ip, g code injectors and an ats wastegated turbo kit.
