Gauge cluster repair

I have an 03 silverado and the speedo quit working unfortunately its got to many miles for the recall so i was wondering who you guys recommend to send it to

If you do it yourself it's much cheaper.

Just do it yourself. It is super easy. There are a couple how-tos on duramaxforum, dieselplace etc

buddy sent his away to get fixed, something like 125 for a full rebuild.

Where can you get a stepper motor from? eBay?

You can buy the motors on Ebay and do it yourself or send the cluster in to have everything done. If you do it yourself, I would recommend you replace all the light bulbs and also fix the solder joints for the PRNDL and odometer readouts while you're in there.

There's a guy 4 hours away that does them i might just send it there ive never soldered before plus i want to have him put replace the lights with LEDs

A very helpful tool for this job is a $12 de-soldering gun.

I spent $30 on eBay and bought the kit with all stepper motors and lights did it myself. I have lots of soldering experience however I have seen gauge repair guys who will do it for 75-100 I would gladly pay one of them to do the next.

Yeah there's a guy few hours from me who'll do it for $75 I might just send it there

I have used this guy to repair two gauge cluster's. I think it was like $65 to replace all stepper motor's and bulb's.
