Pinion Brake, Look Here.

You must have the mother of all tight converters wow! That or limp brakes.

A lot of it is the converter, it was the tightest one Goerend made 3 years ago. I really need to pull it and send it back for a refresh/restall. That would help my spool a ton too. I doubt the 4.10's are helping anything either.

We are only offering these as an in house installation because of the wide variety of rearends out there. And even the same models are different sizes on the casting sometimes.

Ship you a rear end, or have to bring the whole truck??

Looks like an AAM axle flange in that picture, correct?

I have 4.10s and with the 1800 stall 23-25 psi could be held. With the current 2200 ish stall I could probably holds as much as 30 but have not tried (been up to 25 with no problem).

I agree, the pinion brake can help both 4x4 and 2x4 but like I was getting at with 2x4 really really think it would help!

You should be able to hold as much as you need on a 4wd. If its not holding, you have a problem with the brakes or a way too tight converter.

I will have more info and pricing tomorrow.
