Team Thailand at the NHRDA World Finals

I would have to say that it is very impressive what they are doing with that truck. Personally, I think it is more impressive to see a 8.3 on a hurt engine than a 7.4 out of wades truck. They are coming from a country not known for having big dollars, not having a rabid diesel scene (such as our countries have) only having 6 weeks into it. Of course that is my humble opinion.

Do you know what kind of boost they are getting out of that 71?

They told me 70 PSI max.

I think their diesel scene is bigger than ours here, we are just not privy to it. They race every weekend and always have packed stands.

Here are some Facebook pages that give some good insight into their performance world:

CompD HP calculator shows the following:

2800lbs at 185 = 1202rwhp

2800lbs at 170 = 933rwhp

We know that they both spray and they both weigh about the same according to the owners of each vehicle.

Making only 300hp less on a motor half the displacement is amazing.

Team Thailand was awesome to watch run down the track.

Hope to see that at more races next year!!!

But you forgot to add the Wade factor to his truck so it's really 1802 by his calculations :woohoo:

Team Thailand came and made a damn nice statement about how well they are doing. My hats off to them as it was great amount of work done in a very short time to travel 1/2 way around the world then put up great numbers.

Didnt you know, Wades engine is actually de-tuned. God made him sooo good they actually had to take a stock duramax and take power out of it!

Any chance we might see you guys at Bakersfield. Be a good place to qualify for worlds

Whew its been a busy last couple months!

The team has just broke the 7 s barrier back in Thailand!! running al all time fastest of 7.83 :rockwoot:

They also showed a dyno graph that shows 766/1229 FUEL ONLY at the wheels!!!

As far as the 2014 season, they are planning on a return for sure. They are also considering sending their driver (Best Turbo Yum) to an earlier event so that he can qualify and compete in the finals! The team has graciously been offered seat time in other competitors Pro Stock vehicle to make this happen and make it financially feasable.

This past weekend was their big season ender in Thailand.

I wish we could be racing all through December here LOL

There are a few other ideas floating around and I will keep everyone up to date as soon as I get details.

We are all looking forward to 2014 and beyond!
