TEXAS EFIlive tuning/tech class

nwtdiesel

See you in AZ :)
Mike Meyer is in Maryland right now teaching 22 students the EFI software and they are having a blast! Everyone went to the track last sat night and they did live tuning/logging on a bunch of trucks and last i heard they were tuning on a 06-07 Cummins. Evan Moser went 12.9 with no lift pump and stock cp3 and was very happy! We want to offer this fun event/GTG to you guys in Texas!

Here is what the class's would be:
*Beginners class Saturday (learning the software, basic tuning, scripting, logging, learning tables, discussion, questions answered and some 1 on 1.
*Advanced class Sunday (learning advanced tuning, twin turbo tuning, trans tuning, more detailed class, answer questions and 1 on 1.)
*Live tuning and logging (sat night everyone will go to the drag strip and do live tuning and logging)
*2010 Diesel Power Challenge Winner Dmitri Millard will be a guest speaker and talk about different set ups, motor builds, transmission builds, twin turbo set ups and answer lots of questions you guys might have.
*It will be a fun fun weekend!

Cummins tuning can and will be talked about and this class will help you cummins guys learn the EFI software. The Duramax and Cummins tuning isnt very different so alot of this class will help alot of you guys who want to learn the Cummins tuning.

If you guys are interested add your names to the list and once we see enough names we can all set a date and find a location. If any of you can provide us with a building to use that can hold up to 25 students you can attend class free. Class is $250 beginners and $350 for advanced class or $450 if you want to attend both days. Food, drinks and a shirt is provided. Lets get the list filled up and we can all set a date and have a fun weekend!

I would love to, but at the moment it's hard to justify that kind of money for a skill I won't soon use. Good luck and I may attend if things are more sorted out by the time the class takes place!

It needs to be central so its the same amount of driving for everyone unless you guys have a suggestion. Everything is sorted out, Mike just did a two day class in Maryland and took everyone to the drag strip Sat night so they can live tune. If you guys want to travel to Las Vegas NV for the class then we can drop the price.

Here is what was available for the guys to learn in the hagerstown class plus some more info.

$250 Beginners class
$350 Advanced class
$450 To attend both classes

Add your name to the list if you want to attend, we will bring a few spare V2s for you guys to use if you dont have one. Please let us know if you need a V2.

From Mike: Hey guys.

The beginner class will be directed more toward the use of the V2, tune tool, and scan tool and what it can do for you. Basically how to use all the features of the V2, what all the tables in the tune tool mean and how they work together, and how to do real good data logging and apply it to your tunes. This is pretty beneficial for a guy that wants to learn everything about the software and hardware, yet looks overwhelming. The dodge guys will learn quite a bit in this class, as its not directed so much toward tuning and the tuning that is, is pretty general.

As for the Advanced class, this will be strictly Duramax. Some stuff may pertain to the Cummins as well, but not much. The advance class will be a lot of tuning info. This class will be for the guy that has thought about building tunes, or has tried adjusting tunes, but needs a little more direction. You will need to know the software and how it works, before taking this class or you will fall behind and not learn much. (I say that just for your info, some guys may grasp it easy, but trust me, there are quite a few that will be un-happy if they take this class without knowing the software). I would recommend taking the beginner class before this advanced class or study the software highly often.

I am putting some new curriculum together for the 2 class, making some changes that I have learned from teach other classes. Hopefully in the next couple days I can have something ironed out and ready to go.

As for where the class will be, is up to the interest. We have no issue doing the class here local with only a few students, but if we must travel, we MUST have plenty of students. Expenses are not cheap right now, nor is it easy to leave our business here in Las Vegas, while we are across the country, that all has to be factored in.

I might be interested depending on when it is and how my money is.. right now I can't afford it, but maybe in a few months. Might still try to make the first class either way. I've been wanting this class. I'm in the north east part of Texas, I would be happy with Dallas area, but there might be quite a few more down south I don't know.

We have 3-4 guys interested on CF and 4-6 guys interested here. We just need to get a list of names going so we can pick a date. If you guys want to attend put your names down and ill make a list.
