Big End Fueling SetUps

Not on a ppump. I'd get the a1000 back on if you can get replaced and go from there

Gotta send it.out, blew the large oring, and then it sat.

I have 2 AD165s i was gonna independently feed the dual fed pump so i can look cool, but i dont think its necessary, and i need to buy a second FP guage. Im already in deep water for buyin new QA1s...

A previous local puller was using a AD 150 with a NE 13mm pump with no pressure drop. As stated before there is no way a s475 is cleaning up 600ccs.

So the general concesus is, the pump needs to get sent somewhere and gone through. Whos around florida, can do it, or someome worth a damn to max it out? Im not against buying another pump, but thats a lotta coin and I got a stroked pump from CPP, and put it on my rcsb 12v compound turbo daily driver with 5x16s and wasnt too impressed.

Ferrel diesel service is where I would send it. Top notch customer support and does excellent work. What part of Florida you in I am from north Florida.

If they're an old set of hmb springs I bet they're from Haisley. I've ran his new spring sets he has and had good luck, always prefered the Haisley springs. The best upgrade I ever did to a 12valve was have a 13mm pump built. I used northeast diesel and have nothing but good to say about them. Most here will recommend Seth and I'm sure he'll do you good also. What is the best time you've ran?

This set up, best shes done is mid 12s, and a truck with a 1.63 60', and my mods, thats as light as this truck... something isnt right, lol.

Just an fyi Farrell is no long just benching pumps. Requiring a rebuild. Not that I am complaining. Very happy with my 215 from him.

Robert Donaldson, crew chief on the PS Stuckey truck does pumps. He and his son have a business in the southeast. Probably Georgia. I do have a phone #.

Plugged fuel vent, resulting in 20-30psi bouncing wildly and not allowing air back into the tank. Redid vent line, holding 40psi @62lbs of boost ag 4250rpm.

Modified AFC and didnt get enough tuning, but she was just freight training. Belive the AFC is floppimg too much, but a melted electeic water.pump resulted in 270* engine temp and a bad cap ment no water in engine after it blew out.

Truck naturally cooled down and SOMEHOW i didnt blow the engine or factory head gasket... truck ran again friday. But didnt have enough time to tune. So hopefully after another week or so of dialing it in, shell be good.

I've done high 10s@126mph with an un-benched 160hp pump and a Raptor 150 (32" tires and 3.54s). And a 80mm primary still didn't clean it up. Don't waste time on other parts, have you pump looked at.

And switching to a 188/220 won't solve anything. When I put one in, I lost a couple of tenths.

Mt. Diesel in Charleston, WV has been my pump supplier for years. They will get you what you want the best way they know how.

We are running one of their 13mm pumps up to 6000 and it pulls all the way.

Talk with Dale Burns. He is the man.

Make sure you get a good set of rods in the thing and if RPM Is what you are after, start around 27 degrees of timing and tweak up 30-31 getting data as you go. Not all packages respond the same.

I got tore up on the Silver Bullet once and decided to mount my freshened pump. Somehow ended up at 60 deg BTDC. Very hard to start and get the turbo lit. Once she went, best it ever sounded.

Last night she did 12.1@99 a few times. Did the 188/220 cam, 1.45 tappets, and she didnt do anything for me. So we went with a 1.15 turbine housing and wrapped everything up. That helped a lot, obviously.

Went to QA1s up front. And rancho adjustables out back, 60 foot times at 1.61. But every tenth fast i go, i loose a mile an hour, LOL. Truck is still running clean, new fuel system, 50psi whole track, 68lbs of boost, so im out of everything, just need more cc's of fuel, no question, so well be doing that this summer.

Im gonna try and change a couple things, have a blown manifold gasket, because i think the header manifold i run is warped, dont think it like 2600 degrees.lol plus i blew my pyro out and hurt the trans, as it slipped a little hitting 2ndLU. Hopefully the exaust leak and a trans service i can at least grab an 11.99 before it gets too hot this summer.

Thats crazy, lol, i just want 11s. Not fair. Haha. And your right, the 188/220 didnt help time, or spool up it seems. But i got it NIB for $200, so no biggie.

68psi and 2600*...from a single...

You don't need more fuel, you need a better setup.

My old 98 went 12.08 @ 103 at 38psi and 1480* with a 71mm charger...probably way less fuel than you're throwing at it now. 5x.016's and a pump set at 400cc's

But it runs pretty clean, slight haze and a nice flame out the stack. The truck started as an 800 dollar toy we started slappin free and donated parts on. But now i decided to try and make it legit, so were changing things up. Were shave a few tenths off every few weeks, just takes time and some tuning. Plus all the random crap, get some good knowlwdge on whats doing what.

I think the set up is fine, just need to play with timing and getting more CCs. And im not 100% sold on the pyro, its a glosheet, lol. Ive started swapping the quages.out to issprs, but the pyro isnt in yet.

All in all, the truck has some bad@ss parts, and were only into it for less than 6 grand, buying truck, built trans, cuttin it, etc.

I get all that...but you'll have another $5K in it when you melt the pistons out of it...

Just because the charger makes 68psi, doesn't mean it should...wastegate it...the charger will live longer, and I'd bet you'd go a little faster. It's not about boost, it's about air...air in, AND air out...move more air, make more power...or at least maybe cool down what you're already making.

Look, I don't know you, and I really don't care if you melt your $hit down or not...but you obviously came on here asking for help, so there's my advice. Take it for what it is, words on a screen...

No, i agree, and i appreciate it. But 5x.022s and a 75/96 i would think is good, cause the 75 is cleaning it up so far. I wonder if going down to a 5x.018 and some DV changes would help. I know the pump needs benched again, but i would think i could get.more out of my current set up (a little more reliably) with what everyone else runs. Truck weighs under 5k lbs, i just think theres somethimg im overlooking.

What part of the set up you think beeds changing? Just the turbo, like bigger?
