steel is a smidge more expensive than it was 10yrs ago

I know I'm working on a few projects right now. It made me sick to drop $150 for 24' of 2" tube.

the welding bed my brother did didnt cost too aweful much compared to what people sell them for, and it didnt take too long to build

mine have factory cab chassis brackets welded u can see in the 1st pic mine had 12 1/2 bolts

For mounting a bed to the frame on a 2nd gen, there are at least 3, 1/2" holes that exist in the frame on each that work well. There's a slotted hole 2" behind the rear spring hanger on both sides. Also there are holes close to the overload perches on the frame. Then the front half of the bed it works well to mount through the existing bed brackets, they are more of a perch.
