02, PPump 24V build.

Looks like you have been pretty busy with the projects. Can't wait to see the finished pictures. Also what was the fix for the fuel issue you were having?

yeah, truck has been sitting, as it does most of the winter anyways.

fuel issue ended up being a check valve on the lift pump, put a new one on and pressure is much better.

I'll try and remember to take some tomorrow of the finished project. its not too impressive, but there is alot that we did.

He loves it, electric fans have been great even for towing, only issue has been what we think is too big of a line... We are running 093's from scheid because they told us that was the only size they produced.

Pretty much a constant "hop" from the govenor that is pretty miserable to drive with a 6speed.

Despite changing dv's, and many a govenor sping set... Its still there.

I have scheid 084's on my 6 speed. Did they stop making them in the last year?

No, its sort of a sore subject seeing that the terry haute store told me 093 only and yet Effingham bends 084.

So now its apparently our fault when the salesman told us they only bent 093.

Who knows if its even the problem... But its a low rpm hunt that is a viscous lope at cold Idle

We had the same problem with the same story from Scheid last year on the work truck. Ended up putting mild steel stock size lines on it and that cured most of the problem. Scheid doesn't remember or have any record of what they pinned the pump at either so between the timing, over size lines, and the Scheid 4ks it was a mess to drive. After some time and a lot of fine tuning its good now though. I've had a lot better luck with the different governor springs as well.

Eventually i think we will invest in another set and sell these... Just sucks that one company, three locations and no straight story.

I did another p7100/24v swap at the same time with lines from effingham and everything about them was better.

conversion question

I'm new to the thread, Great build up! I have a 1981 chevy 1 ton that I installed a 1999 24 valve in with a hotrod vp44, pump stage three injectors afe intake kit (for a dodge) 4 inch straight piped, truck has ran great for about 4 years then the vp pump gave out, had a friend give me a complete 12 valve engine out of a 97 dodge 3500. so I swapped the pump to the p7100, just got it running again now im having to learn how to tune the pump. what did you do for the turbo boost off the p7100? someone told me to just cap it off.....how will it work? any advise is greatly appreaciated!!

Do not cap it. Do much more reading.

lol don't listen to anything that person says. That is the boost reference line. It controls how the injection pump fuels. Simple to connect(on any engine) and very necessary. Like Ghostman said, do a lot of reading but if your confused just ask. There are a lot of people on here lately that like to rip more inexperienced people apart but usually they are the ones that don't have sh!t themselves and are trying to feel important. Just start a thread with what your trying to do and you should get some good help. PM me your number if you need any advice. I've done plenty of p-pumped 24 valves.
