Fleece stand-alone VNT in Action.

Looks like I will be putting a 6.7 turbo on the old 12v. Now for the hunt on a 6.7 turbo. What all would I need to do this.

I'm about to do this as well, on my '99.

The 6.7 turbo isn't a direct bolt on. Mounting flange isn't the same. Requires cutting the flange off and getting the correct adapter to weld in, or there are bolt on adapters. With the electronic actuator, it doesn't appear to at the moment that it will clear the shock tower with the bolt on adapter. I might get a 6.7 manifold to make it easier. And, I'll keep my current one in case I decide to change to something different some day.

CAC tube needs to be modified. Water cooled. Oil feed line is the same sized o-ringed thread as on our trucks. Drain looks like it is the same, but not sure.

The HE351 fits very nicely on the 6.7 manifold and the coolant fittings are almost lined up perfectly when you remove the oil to water exhchanger.

When will the 98.5-02 controller would be available for the public to purchase? I need one for my superduty swap.
 
I will let looks and sound slide for performance, but I can the noise of a 3rd gen exhaust manifold.:bang
 
a VGT will be really quiet just cruising around... the sound of the turbine during exhaust brake function makes up for the CR turbo location IMO.

it's SO much easier to use a 6.7 manifold, and you have an easy mounting flange for an external gate w/ the 6.7 manifold. If I do a VGT, I will definitely be doing a 6.7 manifold
