full manual valve body 47re/rh

I have a new fully manual 47rh in garage. Richard said it always has to be started in 1st and shifted up. So idk if he did something different. But Idk if I could put mine in 3rd and let it shift 123. I know everything is billet and it has 48re guts with an tcs aramet input and billet output. DPC triple disc converter. Just have some things like figuring out a t-case or swapping inputs and building mine, order my twister shifter, dipstick, and modify my apps for a TV cable.
