I think most people dislike Banks [myself included] because they saw Banks advertised in mags, on trucks tv etc. and bought one as their first tuner. I sure did! I sent my Big Hoss module back 3 times thinking something was wrong when I couldn't tell the difference. 70hp my AZZ! In that case, Smarty is 300hp. LOL I instantly hated his products once I sent my Big Hoss the 4th time and upgraded to a Edge comp. I couldn't believe how much better my truck ran. Advertising is key to ruling a industry. He does lots of advertising, then leaves customers disappointed.
 
Their ads are pretty crappy too. In the last issue of diesel power, beside a picture of their s10, it says "no other truck even in the 7s." Darren has been high 7s several times with no nitrous
 
And oh yeah I'd like to have one of the twin air intake's but they are way overpriced
 
I just think he is a Dick. Like others said, his way of advertising about being the best, and hes not, his products make the most power, they dont. His comments about bashing NX and the running FOUR tanks to make ONE pass... Fuk that guy, I wish the economy would take that company out.

Why does it seem like every month we get an influx of Cummins Forum dropouts? You'd think it would coincide with welfare check time....:D

I'm not a fan of banks at all but I am running a banks 4" muffler. It is lower and actually quieter than stock. Which is ok in my
books. But I got it for free so that was the best part.
 
I don't really 'hate' banks stuff, I just hate the arrogance Gale portrays on the first 5 pages of every diesel magaize I look at. I applaude the effort to make performance products that don't smoke, but don't try to chop the nuts off the other guys while advertising your smoke free stuff that costs twice as much and only has one-half the horsepower. I could do more with an affordable product that makes great power and less with the "I'm the king of the chit" speech.
 
Yep. I hate Gayle's attitude.

Their stuff is fine for a certain market. All the CF tards don't like it because it's not smoky enough. CompD guys don't like it because who cares about safe power?LOL
 
I have the Banks Big Hoss side dump intake in yea it looks good but, i wouldnt spend the money on it again. The machine shop had to resurface it when it showed up from Banks. I waited 2 months on it also. Then it didnt have all the bolts in hardware to install. I think the advertiseing is why Banks sells so much products.

I actually just discovered this site so I thought I'd check it out. I've seen just as many "chip and a smoke tune" idiots on every other diesel site I've gone to.
 
You can call Gale and arrogant dick, but after some of the diesel events I’ve been at, he’s not the only one. For some reason the other arrogant dicks in the industry like the Laughlin boys and so many others aren’t hated as much. I guess they suck your d*ck better or maybe it just feels better coming from someone without teeth. Honestly, I haven’t met many millionaires that aren’t arrogant dicks, and I’ve had the privilege to meet and learn from many. The Banks product line fills a market need. It may not be what you need or want to pay for, but it is a solid product. If it wasn’t then Banks wouldn’t be in business anymore. You don’t have to agree with Banks marketing or even like Gale. He has is own friends and I’m sure that he could care less about your friendship. But before you really start bashing someone and hating what they have done for the industry, maybe you should look in the mirror. What have you done that is so amazing? What makes a diesel expert? How are you pushing diesel technology? Why are so damn arrogant? I’m willing to bet your answers fall short of what Banks and others in the industry have done.

One more thing: If you really think using Nitrous is not running fuel only, you are f*cking retarded. Nitrous is not a fuel; it has never been a fuel and will never be a fuel.

Really? Proofread your $hiz before posting dude. Fuel only is just that. FUEL only. You said yourself "nitrous is not a fuel".
