It's "YOKE" not "YOLK" dammit!

Question. Is it seen or saw?

I seen this little hotty.
I saw this little hotty.

Which one is it? Which one is correct?

Hell son, you couldn't take it somewhere to have them work on it...you couldn't tell them the right parts to fix!!!

Good spelling is one thing...using the wrong words is completely different, and education like this will eventually be the downfall of this country by adding to many other problems that the now "normal," ignorant people making up the majority of the US population fail to see a problem with.


People can't even take the time to type out what they want to say anymore...text language is for texting on a phone...you want to post something on here, do it correctly with full words, punctuation, capitalization, decent sentence structure and with at least half a brain!

i couldn't tell them the right parts to fix???? hey buddy do something for me call any driveshaft shop and say "SLIP YOLK'' see if they think your talkin about a ****in EGG when you find one that does my number is 731-445-0591 tell them to call me i would like to have a good talk to them....... so what if i spell a damn word wrong get off my ass you know what the hell i was talkin about or you wouldn't be on this post



i jus think its funny say yolk and yoke at the same time?? sounds preaty much like same word to me WHOOPS i jus spelled it wong my bad

who the **** said when i said it it sounds like it had a "L" have i called and talked to you??? well maybe if you didnt spend so mcuh time bein a dick head talkin about my spelling and would have tried helpin me out in the first place i coulda bought something from you.... just sayin good way to treat customers talk **** about there speakin and spelling that'll keep them coming back

No, apparently, you can't read very well either...my customers say it right. If they don't know, they bring parts with them so we can get them the correct part. We have plenty of customers coming back...I have even had to turn down service work because I can't schedule the time or shop space for it. I guess maybe I'm doing something a little right...

I'm the first one to help out ANYONE who needs it. Hell, I've given away truck parts to guys broken down on the road by the store just to help them out.

But if you think I'm a dick becasue I make fun of your complete lack of understanding about the English language, then yes, I am.

Besides, you didn't say "yolk," you typed it. There is no way to confuse that;)

I don't see the difference, unless you're referring to a verbal conversation vs. a written form of communication. Incorrect spelling and word usage both make a person look like a moron in my book and I usually don't give those types of people the time of day.

Good communication skills are much more important than most people think and no amount of rebuttals will convince me otherwise, although they might be fun to read (if I don't get a headache from trying to decipher them).

I am just messing with ya, I appreciate the offer. Lots of folks were helping everybody out this weekend to get the trucks going.
 
Written communication from most people anymore just plain sucks anymore. Verbal isn't much better, but at least you can't see that they don't know which form of the words are correct for that usage. At least no every word:D

Now, I've never claimed to be the world's greatest speller, or perfect with my grammar and punctuation skills, but I can form cohesive structure and usually use the correct wording.

I also deal with my father and a bunch of old farmers everyday who talk the way they've always talk, and write the way they talk...
