"The 2.6 right now is 3.0 undercover."

na mechanic likes to bich at people who threaten him hel find out next yr when i bring a roller engine and a sigma in his class ill give um somthing to cry about

So wich one of your buddies are building this that they are gonna let you pull their truck, sigma for 2.6, are you really that dumb, really? This thread is about calmin 26 down and now we goin sigma......wat a fuktard!

And just for discussion purposes, rough numbers:

Garrett 88mm compressor @ 63.5mm inducer = 68 lb/min
Garrett 94mm compressor @ 67.8mm inducer = 80 lb/min
Garrett 94mm compressor @ 70.3mm inducer = 83 lb/min
Garrett 102mm compresor @ 74.7mm inducer = 95 lb/min

LOL As the title of this thread says "The 2.6 right now is 3.0 undercover".

I think you need to convince the masses before you can control the out come. Didn't you study Hitler?

I don't think this thread is convincing anyone of chit.

Let me know when you think the class has been sufficiently dumbed down.

What is a turbo:doh: I didn't know we could run them in our classes.

Guess Ill make a plate and through it on an engine on the dyno. Im sure it doesnt matter if its a 425hp 13L right ? It will still reflect what will be lost.

My guess is this, just saying...

2.8 step cover engine= 850hp @ crank

2.6 = 750hp @ crank

Now add 2.6 orffice plate in intake to each

2.8 step cover engine= 750 @ Crank
2.6 engine= 650hp @ Crank

What the heck will it matter ? What am I missing ? You have tammed both engines down but the finishes at the pulls remain the same.

Your low on a good 2.8 truck.
Low on a 2.6 also.

When we started pulling 2.6 We were pulling lil **** fairs and brush pulls, No hangin weight and no solid suspension, piss poor payouts and had to change our setups every other pull to make the rules. Now we pull in front of crowds of thousand plus people, we can go to every pull and not move weights or bump stops thanks to a set of unified rules . We use some of the best sleds there are and run on some pretty damn good tracks once in awhile. The trucks and competition level is great, any one truck could win week to week. I'm not seeing the down side to this! The dedicated pullers build there sh!t to run to the max and spent the time and money to do it. Some of the guys are not willing to go to that extent with there trucks for whatever reasons and so be it.But why punish the dedicated guys that have put all the effort into making it what it is today? Why dont the guys that dont build there trucks (and never will) just go back to the stock class and have all the glory at the brush pulls with there 80% payback?

:Cheer: i couldtn agree more, I love the brush pulls, good fun, good company, its where everyone starts and dose most of their learning, but for most of the same reasons you listed we are goin to try and run FPP as much as possiable next year. We showed up at a few FP event and pulled and had a few of the regular fp guys come over and welcome us and what not, way cool in my book!

Then please do your part to encourage FPP not to change the 2011 rules.

Loll. I hear ya dale, i dont blame ya! She plans on visiting wit ya at more pulls next year if her dumb crew cheif and number one sponser can get an engine built by pullin season! We b lookin ya up for trailer to over the winter as well!

Cost to screw up a good truck and make it less powerful: $$$$$

Cost to take your daily driver and put the stock charger back on: $

I believe 2.6" protrusion, T4 housing, and a single 35" tire is a completely reasonable compromise between the people wanting to leave the class alone or bring it down considerably.
